Endowment gifts provide Holy Rosary School with reliable investment earnings in perpetuity to support annual needs. The principal of the endowment fund remains intact while the school draws a percentage of the interest income to offset operating expenses. As the endowment fund grows, so do the funds for the school to draw upon. This essential support underwrites the annual budget, averaging 4% of the assets.
Cathedral of Our Lady of The Rosary Parish and School Endowment Fund
The Cathedral Endowment Fund was formally created in 1994. All of the school and the church’s endowment funds were placed in one account with designated sub-accounts. The overall goal of the fund is to increase the endowment fund so it can provide long-term financial support for the parish, both the church and the school. The Board of Directors of the Cathedral Endowment Fund selected Wells Fargo Bank's Trust Department as its investment advisor. The Endowment Board consists of the Pastor, Principal, and a member of the Parish Finance Council with up to seven at large parish members.
Gifts are added to the fund annually, primarily through memorials and bequests.
